Live Saxophone Over a Professional DJ
A professional DJ holding the floor, live saxophone over the top, and a dance floor that does not empty. The most requested format Orget plays.
DJ and Sax Combo Sydney
A DJ alone keeps people dancing. A saxophonist alone gives you a performance. Together they give you the thing most events are actually chasing, a dance floor that does not empty.
Orget's DJ and Sax Combo pairs a professional DJ with live saxophone over the top. The DJ holds the groove and reads the crowd, Orget plays over the drops and the hooks, and the night moves from dinner to dance floor without a dead moment.
How the Night Runs
A combo booking is built as a timeline, not a playlist.
- Arrival: 30 minutes of roaming saxophone while guests arrive, if the room suits it.
- Dinner: two short sets through the meal, table to table with a wireless saxophone.
- Party: two 30 minute saxophone sets over the DJ, timed to the biggest moments of the night.
- The run sheet is built with you and, for weddings, with your planner or MC, so the first dance, the speeches and the cake are never fighting the music.
What Is Included
Everything needed to run the night, in one booking.
- A professional DJ with an event background, not a jukebox.
- Full sound system and dance floor lighting.
- Live saxophone over the DJ for two 30 minute sets.
- Wireless saxophone for roaming moments during dinner.
- A run sheet agreed in advance, shared with your venue or planner.
- Backup equipment on site.
Where the Combo Works Best
The combo suits any event with a dance floor and a mixed age crowd.
- Weddings and engagement parties.
- Birthdays, anniversaries and milestone celebrations.
- Corporate Christmas parties and end of year events.
- Product launches with a party finish.
- Yacht parties and private venue takeovers.
- Cultural celebrations where the music needs to move between two worlds in the same night.
DJ and Sax Combo Pricing
Two ways to book it, depending on the event.
- Private celebrations: $3,000 for the night, DJ, sound, lighting and live saxophone included.
- Corporate events: solo saxophone from $1,250 weekday or $5,000 weekend, plus $2,000 to add the DJ and full sound.

- Travel is included within Sydney metro and quoted separately outside it.

Saxophone Over a DJ, or a Full Band
A band takes space, a long soundcheck and a bigger budget. A DJ and saxophone takes less room, sets up in an hour and gives you the same live energy with more control over the music.
If you are still deciding between formats, the honest answer is that a DJ and sax combo suits most rooms up to 300 guests, and a band suits a room built around a stage. If the venue has an in house system, the DJ can run through it and the footprint gets even smaller.

Questions, Answered
What is a DJ and Sax combo?
A DJ plays the records and holds the dance floor while a live saxophonist performs over the top. The saxophone lifts the drops, plays the hooks people know, and makes the night feel live rather than played back.
How much does a DJ and Sax combo cost?
For a private celebration such as a birthday or anniversary, the DJ and Sax Combo is $3,000 for the night. For corporate events, adding a DJ with full sound to a solo saxophone booking is $2,000 on top of the performance fee.
Is the combo included in a wedding package?
Yes. The Party movement, live saxophone over the DJ, is part of the Platinum wedding experience at $4,750. It is not part of the Signature Dinner package, which covers the arrival, the entrance and the dinner.
How long does the DJ and Sax play for?
A typical night runs four to five hours. Orget performs two 30 minute saxophone sets over the DJ, plus roaming moments earlier in the night if the room calls for it.
Do you bring the sound and lighting?
Yes. The combo includes a professional DJ, a full sound system and dance floor lighting. If the venue has an in house system the DJ can run through it instead, which is common in Sydney venues.
What music do you play?
House, disco, funk, commercial pop and R and B, with saxophone over the top. Sets are built from the crowd in front of you, and requests are welcome within reason.
Can you play for a culturally mixed crowd?
Yes. Orget is Albanian and regularly plays Balkan, Greek, Italian and Lebanese sets alongside the commercial material, which matters at Sydney weddings and family celebrations.
